It wasn't exactly easy, but the Bruins wore down Sam Houston St. to win 75-61, and stay #1 in the Country at 10-0.
"Sam" led for the first 12 minutes of the game, as the cold-shooting Bruins couldn't get any rhythm on Offense. But the Defense took over, as the Bruins finally got the lead, and then started to stretch the lead late in the second half.
Josh Shipp was The Man, always being in the right place at the right time. Luc Richard Mbah a Moute was strong on the boards, and also hit a three. He got help inside from Lorenzo Mata and Alfred Aboya, who both had some nice, strong plays.
The Bearkats didn't quit, cutting into a late, 20-point lead. The surge kept the fans in their seats for the last few minutes, as the Bruins put it away.
Coming into the game, UCLA's biggest problem was Free Throw shooting. After extra practice this week, they came out and hit 12 out of 13 in the first half, and 17 of 21 for the game. They just might NEED those extra points against 11-1 Michigan this Saturday, in a sold out Pauley Pavilion.
Below are 15 photos from the game -- Due to Vacation, only 4 (female) Cheerleaders showed up, but as you're about to see, it worked out just fine.
