Omigod, omigod, ohmigod. That was the greatest thing we've ever seen. And we're NOT talking about the Oscar broadcast, nor about any of the honored flicks. We're talking about the 2007 National Champion UCLA Dance Team, and their appearance before the John Wooden Challenge Gymnastics Meet.
Okay, so we're not judges from "Dancing with the Stars," but we've seen some ESPN coverage of these College Dance competitions, and we recognize a Championship performance when we see one.
And we saw one on Sunday.
After not getting to perform their special Title-winning number at the last two Basketball games as hoped, the UCLA Dance Team finally got to unveil it to a few local fans on Sunday. And for those of us who didn't travel to Vegas to see the Championships, it was a treat beyond expectations.
The outfits, the choreography, and the performance were all Oscar-worthy. SC must have looked like chopped liver in Vegas compared to the Bruins. This may sound like bull, but when they hit the floor, "we" were just so thoroughly impressed, that our jaws just dropped, and we were mesmerized. Our hearts then stopped for a bit, skipping a beat or two or three.
When we finally got a grip, we got some photos, so that you can sort of get a taste of how great they looked.
