Ex-trojan and current b.s. artist Reggie Bush and his family have just avoided one of two lawsuits that were pending against them. They have just reached a settlement with the Owner of the house in San Diego where they lived for free while Reggie somersaulted and laterelled his way to infamy.
The details of the settlement were not disclosed (of course), but apparently Homeowner/wannabe Agent Michael Michaels got back a big chunk of the $54,000 that he said they owed him. Consequently, Michaels is no longer suing the Bushes... but his partner in crime still is.
So if the NCAA investigators were waiting for all the lawsuits to be done before they jumped in, only half their wait is over. The other guy has an ex-con mentality that might not accept a puny settlement. Also, since that guy was all about starting up a new Agency, a little back-rent shouldn't satisfy him.
The NCAA is whining that never before in their history of investigations has there been a situation where NO ONE ON EITHER SIDE WILL COOPERATE. The Bushes AND their pursuers have refused to talk due to the lawsuits. But now that one of the lawsuits is toast, maybe some communication can begin... assuming that there are no "non-disclosure" clauses in the settlement.
Soon, the NCAA will be told that the Bushes' rent was DEFERRED, from two years ago, until yesterday. WHY is this NOT an illegal benefit? Can you get a 20-month "extension" on the due date for YOUR rent payments? And if some jagoff says that there has to be monetary gain, then consider the interest that the family made on all that money that they DIDN'T have to shell out month by month.
The big question is: Just how foolish and impotent will the NCAA look when, out of pure greed, they turn a blind eye to the fact that sc's top three players in 2005 were all conspirators in illegal rent deals? Eventually, they will HAVE to face the fact that it wasn't just Bush' parents up to no good without the knowledge of sc -- Rather, it was a god-given RIGHT of the big stars (and their kin) to live high on the hog, for free.

I just wanted to make sure that you knew this: According to something I found on the net while researching line-ups for a copy of the video game NCAA '06, YOU are included in the game. Of course they can't use real names, but the site I found has you listed on EA's 1991 All-American team (which you can "earn" on the '06 game, and then use in gameplay). I believe that you were also on previous versions of the game, on their All-UCLA teams, but I'm not sure. Did they have to get your approval to use your "likeness?" OR, is that website just wrong, and it really isn't you? I haven't earned that team yet, so I'm not sure.
