TRIUMPH OF THE CENTURY
A trOJan may have won The TRIAL of the Century, but the TRIUMPH goes to the Bruins, whose Women's Water Polo Team makes UCLA the first and only School to reach the Century Mark with 100 NCAA Championships
The Bruins finally did it, and they did it with a splash.

The Women's Water Polo Team from UCLA edged Stanford 5-4 on Mother's Day, to win the Mother of All Championships: It was the School's 100th Official NCAA Championship, making them the first and only School to reach that lofty plateau.

This latest Title completed an NCAA Title Three-peat for the Water Polo Team, which defeated sc in the Semifinal on Saturday.

Speaking of sc, they aren't even in second place in NCAA Titles. That position belongs to Stanford, with 93, while lowly sc is a distant third with 84.

UCLA already has "First to 100" logos and merchandise, marking an improvement in Athletic Department awareness and execution. Hopefully. it's a trend, and as soon as Ben Olson emerges as a viable Heisman candidate, the marketing support will be right there.

In the photos below, you can see the new logo, after 9 Polo shots from their Final Four action. Perhaps it's a coincidence, but you'll notice two shots with trojans appearing to break the rules -- Or are grabbing your opponent's swimsuit, and "copping a feel," just "part of the game?"

Sounds like "Dirty Pool" to us.
