Like most other Bruin fans, it was hard to think about Football there for a while. But after UCLA's ship-righting victory over Washington on Saturday Night, it's once again "Safe to go back in the Water."
After you get over the shock of the Utah loss, you realize that UCLA is still undefeated in Conference, and that most Bruin pre-season goals are still intact.
And of course, last year showed that the Bruins can have a horrible first 10 games, and still salvage the Season with a victory over sc.
That's why UCLA is a prime example of the ol' "It ain't over 'til it's over" cliche -- The Bruins will always have a chance to MORE THAN REDEEM anything that went wrong leading up to the big game.
For the last couple of years, and especially since he beat sc, Karl Dorrell has NOT been a target HERE. And after bouncing back successfully from a painful loss, we're not going to start attacking at this time. However, we did NOT like the two decisions where a Field Goal was not tried, and the Hail Mary and other 4th Down tries failed. Hindsight is always twenty-twenty, and the Bruins won the game, but we swear: We were calling for Forbath at the game, in Real Time.
But more importantly than those two calls was Dorrell's ability to get the Bruins back on track, despite having to play with their 2nd and 3rd String QB's. That alone should keep the Wolves at Bay... for a Week, anyway.
Below are about 15 more photos from Saturday Night, including a whole bunch of the Spirit Squad, who are 2nd and 3rd String to NO ONE.
